Gotta Read This

Obviously there can be no disagreeing with the BO administration. Check this out http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/01/23/obama-quit-listening-rush-limbaugh-want-things/

I thought that this was a democracy not a monarchy or dictatorship.

History Repeats Itself

In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problems; government is the problem.” This was a part of Ronald Reagan's inaugural address in 1981 and should be a part of the address tomorrow.

It will be a snowball's chance in hell of that happening. BO believes that big government will solve our problems. Yea right, just like social security, medicare, welfare, a future of socialized medicine, our public education system and so many other ways that government wastes our tax dollars.

Funny, that we do not blame the people who helped to create the financial mess we are in. That would be Representatives Barney Frank and Chris Dodd who are both on the House Banking Committee. Guess who got the most campaign contributions from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? Guess who looked the other way while Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac cooked the books and failed to follow federal loan regulations? Guesss who also got large contributions from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac - hint his initials are BO.

Remember the date, January 20, 2013, that will be BO's last day in office. Unless of course BO manages to really screw up and get himself run out of office before then.

P.S. I believe that conservatives should treat BO for the next four years exactly the same way that liberals treated GWB.

Where do the bailouts end? Banks, auto manufacturers, newspapers, State Governments, financial firms and other entities have either received a bailout or have been mentioned for a bailout. What used to be called an earmark is now called an economic stimulus package.

Government has thrown money around like they can just print more. Oh they do print the money, but what is it worth and whose pocket do they pick to spread the wealth around? Of course the good old taxpayer gets the shaft. Nothing like paying for votes which is essentially what the democrats are trying to do. Make people feel like they are getting something for nothing. "Those evil rich people do not pay enough in taxes. Let's take their money and give it to some poor people". Same for the greedy corporations and small businesses. Never mind that these companies make products which make out lives better or that they employ people or even give money to charity. Greedy unions will expect that their support for democrats will be rewarded with handouts - I mean stimulus packages. We have opened pandora's box and this cycle will not cease until the economy collapses.

We are all going to pay in the end. Our taxes will skyrocket, inflation will spiral out of control and over taxed companies that have to compete in foreign and domestic markets will fail. Do not even get me started on the fact that the domestic auto manufacturers are living on borrowed time. Their cars are shoddy and they do not make what consumers want. They prefer to push the big ticket vehicles that people cannot afford to buy, let alone fill with gas - because the price of gas will go up - again.

This massive debt load will be left to future generations. Social security will be bankrupt, medicare and medicaid will need ever more tax dollars.

We are in a heap of trouble and I am afraid that our government leaders either do not know it or do not care. Heck, they will be long gone before the bills come due.

Looting the People

Just a quick post. This pretty much sums up what will be happening in the first 100 days of an Obama administration.

Global Warming Hoax

Conservative Friends:

I sincerely believe that man made global warming or as some may call it climate change, may be the greatest hoax perpetrated on mankind since those who tried to convince all that the earth was flat. Well, we all know how that turned out. Socialists and liberals have found in global warming the ultimate key to controlling all aspects of society.

In the name of saving the planet from global warming, legislation can be enacted to dictate the size of families, the size of homes , the type and size of cars, the maximum distance to work that you can commute, the types of appliances one can use, the requirement that everyone recycle or compost materials and even the temperature at which you keep your home or hot water heater. Private property rights can be taken away in the name of saving the earth. This is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg.

Industry standards can be established for just about everything from washers and dryers to dishwashers, televisions, radios, computers and the list goes on and on. Things that make our lives better such as washers and dryers could even be banned if they are deemed a threat to the environment. Motorized forms of recreation can be banned in the name of saving the earth. Government money can be doled out to "green" companies but not to those deemed to be too dirty. Do not doubt that these things can happen. See the phasing out of the incandescent light bulb, CAFE standards for vehicles or even the State of California Legislators who proposed giving government control of thermostats in homes. Tax policies can be enacted to penalize those who are labeled "not green". Think about how easy it is to control society in the name of saving the earth and it is scary. Wake up America, this is starting to happen.

A major propaganda campaign is being waged in our schools which have become indoctrination centers for children, through the media which is a mouthpiece for global warming supporters and through Hollywood movies which are subtle and sometimes not so subtle in their shilling for global warming theorists.

Fight back against the global warming alarmists with facts. Did you know that world temperatures have actually declined since 1998? That many of the cited examples of global warming in Al Gore's movie "An Inconvenient Truth" have been proven to be false? Has the earth ever warmed or cooled before? You bet it has. The cold glacial epochs were before man supposedly altered the earth's climate. The dinosaur era was much warmer than today. That over 650 leading scientists have agreed in writing that man made global warming has not been proven to exist. That censors have suppressed dissent amongst scientists and other public figures by cutting off research funding or squelching writings that do not subscribe to their world view according to global warming.

I am all for individual rights for those who choose to conserve energy or to live in a more sustainable way. However, I do not wish to give Al Gore, Barack Obama and their socialist friends the power to control my life. Check out this web page for more details on the global warming hoax http://www.skepticsglobalwarming.com/

Is this the way it works?

Republicans and conservatives need to remember how the democrats have treated them as a minority party. Partisanship is rampant in the era of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid.

America's Legal System and Lawyers

I could not resist this quote describing America's legal system and its' lawyers - It's like a dog being forced to hire a tick to defend itself from the other ticks on its back trying to suck its blood. - John Hawkins.

Anyhow, there are a lot of great conservative websites out there for people fed up with the mainstream media's naked bias against all things conservative:

http://www.heritage.org/
http://www.hannity.com/
www.nationalreview.com
http://www.drudgereport.com/
www.townhall.com
young americans for freedom
national taxpayers union
americans for tax reform
national right to life
national right to work foundation
http://www.rightwingnews.com/

The list is endless, but the message is still the same, the world does not revolve around Katie Couric or even Caroline Kennedy.

Finally, I will leave this post with a link to Lee Greenwood's "Proud to be an American"

Conservatives in Exile

This is a new blog that I am starting to share my views on today's political landscape. I hope that this will grow and that others will join with me in supporting conservative principles which are:

That government is not the answer for all of our problems.
That wealth is not created by redistribution through taxation and government spending.
That the individual entreprenuer unburdened by undue government intervention is the reason that the USA has an economy that is the envy of the world.
The right to own and manage property without unreasonable intervention from government.
The right to life for the unborn.
Belief that our country guarantees the opportunity to succeed, but does not guarantee success - that is up to the individual.
That the rights of victims and society are greater than the rights of convicted criminals.
Freedom from government forced reverse discrimination in the name of racial quotas.
Belief that environmental extremism (global warming) is an ideology that seeks to manipulate social and economic behavior to conform with radical left-wing views.
Belief that society has a right to set standards for acceptible moral behavior.

There will be more added to this list later. This will form the foundation for future posts. In the future, I will provide links to sources of conservative writing and other outlets for conservative thought.

Those who share my beliefs in conservatism may be down now, but ultimately conservative ideals which have shaped this country will prevail.

Lastly a quote from Ronald Reagan - Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.
